CEO George Adjabeng is a former senior scientist at GSK who earned his MBA at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Here’s a profile of Ecodyst, presented in partnership between the CED and WRAL TechWire.

  • What is the focus of your business?

Ecodyst is an Advanced Manufacturer with primary focus in niche scientific instruments. Ecodyst has a proprietary and disruptive self-cooling technology that is revolutionizing how chemistry laboratories cool down samples and processes.

The patented technology has a broad range of applications including sample concentration, solvent rGeorge Adjabengecycling, extractions, distillation and separation of solvent mixtures.

Ecodyst’s disruptive technology will ultimately be the new standard worldwide in labs and industries performing chemistry, including labs in the chemical, environmental, materials, life science, food and beverages, and forensics industries.

  • What is the top pain point/business application you are seeking to address?

Many chemistry labs depend on dry ice or water to cool down samples and processes. In other cases, labs use refrigerated coolers to cool down antifreeze externally and circulate it to the systems to be cooled. These traditional methods of cooling are unsustainable, expensive, time consuming, environmentally unfriendly, inconvenient and outdated.

Ecodyst has solved these issues with the invention of an eco-friendly self-cooling technology. Ecodyst’s newly launched disruptive instrument, the EcoChyll has no associated operational cost and it is sustainable, eco-friendly, continuously available, easy to use and much more convenient.

The self-cooling can reach -20 degrees in less than one minute and can go as low as -35 degrees in a few minutes. EcoChyll is revolutionizing how chemistry labs liquefy vapors across academia, government and industry.

  • What makes it unique?

Our technology is unique because the patented and disruptive technology has no associated operational cost, quiet, easy to use, more convenient and eco-friendly. Our flagship instrument EcoChyll is a first in class “tankless” chiller that does not use coolants such as water or antifreeze to cool down systems.

Most traditional chillers take about half an hour to cool down a gallon of antifreeze to -10 degrees whereas the EcoChyll can reach -20 degrees in less than one minute. Providing scientists with a rapid self-cooling technology that is always available allows them to focus their time on more complex tasks.

The technology is not time consuming and the only action the EcoChyll user is required to perform is CUT POWER ON (CPO).

  • Why should investors be interested in your firm?

We are bringing innovation to an industry that has not seen breakthrough innovations for over 60 years. Ecodyst’s patented and disruptive technology is revolutionizing a niche scientific instrument industry. Ecodyst’s patented and disruptive technologies will ultimately be the new standards worldwide in industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, environment, food and beverages, plastics, cosmetics and fragrance, biotechnology, forensics, medical, biochemistry and biology, energy, petrochemical, academia and government.

The potential opportunity to disrupt a multi billion dollar niche scientific instrument market and become the new standards should make investors very interested in Eocdyst. We have brought scientists and researchers the technologies that incorporate customer desired features and addresses the many problems associated with the current market.

The excellent feedbacks from cutting-edge institutions such as Stanford, UC Berkeley, UNC, NCSU, and pharmaceutical industry leader, Genentech, points to the fact that Ecodyst is on the path to become the market leader. This should make investors interested in our firm.
