Built for industrial-scale evaporation, the EcoChyll® X7 high speed evaporator from Ecodyst combines high loading capacities with rapid continuous cooling for efficient and fast solvent recovery. Courtesy of proprietary intelligent direct self-cooling condensers, the EcoChyll® X7 high cooling capacity and large surface area condensers can reliably condense large volumes of solvents.
The 50L Ecochyll® X7 evaporator will outperform any 50L rotary evaporator on the market. No 50L rotary evaporator can compete with the X7 in terms of evaporation rates, energy efficiency, start-up time, or convenience of operation. Additionally you get twice the capacity – true 50L capacity!
The keys to our improved performance and efficiency are:
- Direct cooling of a metal condenser coil with refrigerant from the compressor. This leads to pull-down times of just minutes while using far less electricity than a recirculating chiller.
- Replacing a rotating flask with an upright, stationary flask which is stirred with an overhead stirrer and heated on a heating mantle. The direct heating of the flask is more energy efficient, the upright flask allows you to use the full 50 liter volume, and the stirring is more energy efficient than rotating a large flask. Having a stationary evaporation flask also allows us to put a drain on it for convenient collection of residual product – something which traditional rotary evaporators cannot do!
Achieve faster run times, reduced operating costs, and reduced human effort to evaporate your solvent. If you want a 50 liter evaporator, choose the EcoChyll X7.
Industrial-Scale Rotary Vacuum Evaporators from Ecodyst
Ecodyst was established with the aim of improving on the performance of standard laboratory rotary evaporators (rotovaps), setting a new benchmark for performance in botanical extractions and solvent recovery. The EcoChyll® X7 rotary vacuum evaporator delivers on that promise for the industrial-scale researcher, providing a scalable modular solution that performs on numerous key fronts for the budget-conscious operator.
If you require a budget-friendly evaporator, consider our single condenser EcoChyll® X5, available in sizes of 22 liters and 50 liters.

- Recovers all residual solvents (below 500ppm)
- Designed to handle an extremely wide range of solvents, including water and all common solvents used in the cannabis and hemp industries
- No need to move glassware: The stationary evaporation flask is filled with a siphon feed valve and emptied with a drain valve for uninterrupted operation
- Can be incorporated in-line with botanical extraction or winterization systems and fully automated
- Digital interfaces and data monitoring for stirring rod, vacuum pump, chiller, and heating mantle
- Patented EcoChyll condensation unit reaches -40°C on the coils in under one minute
- Spacious evaporation flask prevents “bumping” of solution into condensation unit
- Single user operation with minimal interference required
- Capable of evaporating ethanol at low temperatures (38C)
- Extremely energy efficient
- Safety features for automatic shutdown
